Hairspray star Christopher Walken pranked the cast of new movie comedy Balls Of Fury by telling them it was his birthday. The movie star often pulls the birthday trick on the set of films, but most of his castmates in Balls Of Fury were unaware of the joke. Maggie Q, who knew all about Walken's prank, explains, "I'd heard he likes to lie on movie sets and say it's his birthday when it's not. Two months into the film, lo and behold I come to set one day at noon and there's a huge birthday cake in the make-up trailer. I was excited and I started eating it. I said, 'Who's birthday is it?' and someone said, 'It's Chris' birthday.' I literally spat out the cake because I was laughing so hard. I couldn't believe someone had fallen for it. I went over to Chris and said 'Happy Birthday,' and he said, 'Thank you.' He was cracking up like a little kid. He knew I knew. I think that Chris Walken is so bored with people because he's such an icon and people worship him so much that he has to do these things to mess with people to entertain himself."
