'Angelica Huston' (photos) (qv), Jack Lemmon (photos), Sally Field (photos) and Patrick Stewart (photos) turned out to support movie great Gregory Peck's (photos) latest charity project - The Library Foundation. Huston, Lemmon, Field and Stewart all took to the stage at the gala launch of Peck's reading series, to read a selection of plays, short stories and poems in what will be the first of many performances across Los Angeles over the next couple of weeks. Peck has invited many friends and peers to be involved in his project, which takes literature to inner-city children, with celebrities reading from their favorite books at public libraries across the state. Speaking at the launch, Stewart said, "I'm one of Gregory's regular readers and he's also a colleague and a friend so it's a cause I believe in very strongly. Literature is a private world and a world of stimulation and imagination, and it's important particularly that children are directed towards it." Other celebrities who will be involved in the reading series include Billy Bob Thornton (photos), Charlton Heston (photos), Kevin Spacey (photos) and Vanessa Redgrave (photos).
