When the viral campaign for Pixar's Monsters University began back in October it did so with a boom. In promotion of next summer's film, the studio set up MonstersUniversity.com, a fully-functional college website for the fictional school. The attention to detail is outstanding on the site, featuring not only images from around campus, but also class details, a school store, the history of the university, and a letter from President Victoria Gross (who may or may not be an actual character in the movie). Now, after nearly three months of patience - I guess they were waiting for the calendar to turn over? - Pixar has finally returned to the campaign and have released a new commercial promoting the academic institution. Pixar has launched a YouTube profile page for their upcoming animated adventure and posted their first video, and while it doesn't feature the likes of Mike (Billy Crysta »

Researchers have suggested that human hands have evolved for fighting. Compared with apes, humans have shorter palms and fingers, and stronger, longer, flexible thumbs. Experts have long thought that these features evolved to make tools. But now new research from the Us suggests that these traits were shaped by violence too. One of the most notable traits of the hand is that it can form a fist for punching. Professor David Carrier, from the University of Utah, said on the matter: "The role aggression has played in our evolution has not been adequately appreciated. "There are people who do not like this idea but it is clear that compared with other mammals, great apes (more) »

Actor Jeremy Strong got a double-dose of historical drama in 2012, with roles in both Steven Spielberg's Lincoln and Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty. While he didn't have huge roles in either movie, the actor had the chance to work alongside some of the most talented filmmakers and actors we have today. For his next project, however - another big historical drama - he has a name that you will definitely recognize. Variety is reporting that Strong has been named as the latest actor to join the cast of Parkland, the upcoming John F. Kennedy assassination film, and will be playing the role of famous killer Lee Harvey Oswald. What's still a question mark, however, is just how big the part is. Rather than being a straightforward movie about the true events, the new film instead turns its attention to Dallas' Parkland Hospital where members of the staff had »
