'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' film reboot: Who should play the superhero version of Sabrina?
Another throwback is coming to a theater near you: "Sabrina The Teenage Witch," which originated in '60s Archie Comics and was most recently used as source material for the 1996 Melissa Joan Hart sitcom, is coming to the big screen. And she's getting a makeover, reports Deadline.
Sony Pictures is recasting the precocious teen as a superhero in a live action film about a girl coming to terms with her powers. The tone of the movie will reportedly be edgier than the sitcom and animated series adaptations from 1969, 1971 and 1999. But they are keeping her talking black cat Salem -- this time as a transformed prince creating love stories for Sabrina.
With Hart outside the window of playing a teenager now (not that she'd be the best option for the superhero version -- sorry, Mjh), who do you think should play Sabrina? We have a few ideas -- weigh in below! »

14 Stars We Used To Crush On -- Besides James Van Der Beek
J-14, Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, Bop. If you were a pre-teen girl in the ‘90s, you probably recognize the names of these teeny bopper magazines. James Van Der Beek (a.k.a. Dawson Leery) has recently re-entered the world of television -- and the cultural zeitgeist -- on “Don’t Trust the B-- In Apt. 23.” And the best part is, he’s playing himself! During the first episode he brings a girl back to his apartment, only to have her start playing “I Don’t Want to Wait.” It was hard to watch without getting a serious pang of ‘90s nostalgia: Beanie Babies! Lisa Frank! The Macarena! It was also hard to watch without thinking about those other teen boys that captured the hearts (or at »

Frances Bean Cobain, Dave Grohl respond to Courtney Love's Twitter accusation
The usually ultra-private Frances Bean Cobain has broken her silence to respond to new allegations from mom Courtney Love claiming that Cobain was seduced by Foo Fighter (and former Nirvana drummer) Dave Grohl.
"While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn," Cobain tells Rolling Stone. "I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."
Grohl, too, addressed Love's latest Twitter-borne allegations, saying, "Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."
In a series of tweets, Love accused Grohl of seducing her 19-year-old daughter because of some obsession with his late bandmate Kurt Cobain. »

'Frasier's' 'Tossed Salad, Scrambled Eggs' & Super Weird TV Theme Songs
There was a TV theme song lyrical breakthrough this week, revealing that "Frasier's" bizarre TV theme song was ... still a bizarre TV theme song.
The theme song's composer revealed (via Best Week Ever) that "tossed salad and scrambled eggs" was a nice way to refer to the "mixed up," crazy patients of the TV radio therapist. But that isn't as nuts as it gets. While most shows choose the short and sweet lyric-less theme song path these days, the ones that take the opposite, hyper-literal route (we're looking at you, "Small Wonder") are the true heroes of horrible.
HuffPost TV rounded up 10 of our favorite bizarre TV theme songs -- literal, non-sensical and everything in between -- with some choice lyrics that always make us laugh.
From "Wonder Woman's" theme, all about her fighting for rights in satin tights, to "Community's" fairly depressing lyrics set to an otherwise happy tune, »

Derek Review: 'Like Boris Johnson Eating A Pot Noodle'
There were some things about Derek - Ricky Gervais’s character piece set in an old people’s home - that were uncannily familiar to the comedic tricks he pulled off to stunning effect in The Office – the mockumentary form that he helped perfect, the undercutting punch lines seemingly off-mike, the cut away from the set piece to the more intimate chats direct to camera.
This worked in its usual fashion for Gervais’s effortless throwaways – “Ferne Britton before she had her stomach tied up or something”, but jarred, initially, when Derek was crying about the loss of his favourite resident Joan, who told him kindness was magic. I repeat, initially.
There was a lot of Norman Wisdom in Gervais’s take on Derek, with a big smidgeon of Mr Rigsby thrown in for good measure. But, if it showed his limitations as an actor, he was positively De Niro-esque in comparison with Karl Pilkington. »

Morgan Freeman: I'm not marrying step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines
Actor Morgan Freeman says he's never had a relationship with 27-year-old step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines and has no plans to marry her, calling reports to the contrary "defamatory fabrications."
In a statement to TMZ, Morgan says, ""The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well."
Although rumors of a relationship have circulated for years, a recent National Enquirer story claimed that the pair had plans to marry in the near future (though this was only the most recent iteration of the story the tabloid has been publishing since at least 2009).
A rep for Freeman says the actor didn't address the rumors sooner because he "didn't want to dignify these stories by commenting."
Hines also released a statement, »

Frances Bean Says “Twitter Should Ban” Courtney Love After Dave Grohl Rant
We guess you couldn’t pass a law against just Courtney Love using Twitter … could you? Only her? We know legislature aimed at one specific unstable individual probably wouldn’t fly with the Supreme Court, but we don’t know how else you can stop Love from making some pretty repulsive accusations via social media. For example, her Twitter rant early this week accusing Dave Grohl of trying to sleep with her daughter Frances Bean Cobain. “Well if bean did have sex with @davegrohl which I’ve now heard reliable sources and a driver 3rd time, its fine on her part, he’s insane,” Love claimed in part. Reliable sources and a driver 3rd time, you say? Looks like Courtney might have a quite a case of her own! What it’s a case of, exactly, we’re not completely sure.
