He was named captain of the New Zealand U-19 team for the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup.
He captained the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the eleventh season of the Indian Premier League.
Williamson is a New Zealand international cricketer who is currently the captain of the New Zealand national team.
In 2014, Martin Crowe described Williamson as one of the young Fab Four of Test cricket along with Joe Root, Virat Kohli and Steve Smith.
He made his international debut in 2010.
Williamson's childhood inspiration was Sachin Tendulkar.
2019 ICC World Cup Player of the Tournament.
