Marco Placanica was born far away.
Far away from cities, from the world he's now part of.
At the age of 15 took a camera for the first time.
His mother, a maths' professor, soon realized her son's future
would have been far away from there.
After the high school Marco moves to Milan, where he gets to know
the metropolitan lifestyle and European atmosphere.
His directing career starts early at the age of 20
with Sector's global campaign.
Marco starts travelling all around the world thanks to his work,
from Indonesia to US, passing by Himalayas and Galapagos Islands,
building his career far away from his hometown,
surrounded by the many cultures of the planet and
experiencing several different arts and narrative styles.
Key point of his path the global campaign "Jeep 4XE" in 2020,
getting into the automotive world and shortly selected by Maserati
as director for the official launch of both ranges Trofeo and MY21.
His 2021 starts with the right wind directing for
Alfa Romeo, Saipem, Nike and L'Oreal.
Halfway through the year Marco is selected again by Maserati
among directors from all over the world for the Levante Hybrid commercial,
carrying out part of the shooting right where it all started, nearby his little town.
The year ends working with Oakley, Forst and Ducati,
ready to start a new Adventure in 2022 with the huge project Red Bull Driftbrothers.
Produced by the Swiss society TrueColor, the film is incredibly successful.
His 2022 is about Aprilia, Sky, Iveco and many other brands' commercial
including the global campaign Alfa Romeo MY23.
Another dream is now becoming reality, in fact, he's working
on his first feature film shot in October 2022.
Today, at the age of 26,
Marco Placanica is one of the youngest director in the Italian industry working worldwide.
