Bernard Parker(III)
- Music Department
Tranzistr Creative's founder Bernard Parker may have spent 7 years in civic engagement initiatives following his 10+ years as a music producer and artist developer, but in many ways, he's still got a foot in both areas.
Parker's shift in focus was after he secured multiple songs deals with record companies and a multi- million dollar co-publishing deal with Sony/ATV music publishing. All of which was mismanaged due to his lack of personal financial literacy.
Bernard then formed a group of leaders who came from all aspects of business-corporate America, the entertainment industry, to banking, accounting, real estate and education. The purpose of this initiative was not only to educate himself but also to engender and highlight the fundamentals of personal financial literacy utilizing the entertainment business as the backdrop by empowering creatives and the youth at- large.
After a 7 year hiatus from entertainment Parker decided to returned to the music business in 2013 offering advisory services to creative entrepreneurs. His pilot project proved his model to be solid by scoring a #1 song on Billboard R&B charts with artist Guordan Banks. Banks is the first independent artist to accomplish this in the chart's history.
His non-profit and social-economic experiences have been assisting non-profit organizations successfully out of their severe deficits through program refinement & partnerships and developing a national economic empowerment program. This economic empowerment program targeted 360,000+ students and their communities. He also supported other initiatives such as the Laborers-Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET), The Judge Mathis Foundation, The Rainbow Push Foundation and The Right to Return, Rebuild and Reconstruct the Gulf Coast Initiative in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
As a record producer and artist development specialist Bernard contributed to Jay Z's Roc-A-Fella Records by developing 60% of the recording artist roster. During Parker's tenure with Black Friday / Roc- A-Fella / Def Jam, the company produced millions in sales through recordings, merchandising and other channels as a result of his participation. He produced music for artist such as Sting, Eve, Beanie Sigel, Jay-Z and others.
Bernard's additional entertainment industry efforts have been his participation in projects in the television, film, and music; He also operates an entertainment management & business management company supporting athletes and entertainers. The talent he currently supports are Philadelphia Eagles Tight-End Brent Celek and Grammy Award winning singer- songwriter Guordan Banks.
Bernard lives between Los Angeles and Philadelphia where he mentors the youth & young adults in entrepreneurship. He also a founding board member of the Being Beautiful Foundation.
