- He credits Stephen King as his inspiration with his writing style, as well as his high school teacher, Joann Hoppel, for giving him the passion for writing and educating him enough to give him the necessary skills to pursue what he loves.
- Scotty had two book signings: one in Frackville, Pennsylvania and the other at the King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
- He has ADHD, OCD, and Tourette's Syndrome, diagnosed with all three at the young age of eight.
- Scotty is a brain cancer awareness activist, as well as an activist for the LGBTQ community.
- Scotty had various interviews to promote his books, including the Return to Camp Blood Radio Show, Python's Paradise, Klimczak's Killer Collection, the December 2016 edition of Popcorn Horror magazine, and for the Horror Fuel Website.
- He loves old classic video games, including Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Super Nintendo, and NES. He has his Nintendo 64 since he first bought it in 1997. It still works and he still plays it on occasions.
- He has two degrees: an Associate's of Applied Science Degree and a Bachelor's of Science Degree both in Web/Software Development. His Associate's of Applied Science Degree is from Luzerne County Community College and his Bachelor's of Science Degree is from Champlain College. He also has a technical certificate in Computer Science from the Schuylkill Technology Centers vocational college.
