Ahmed Messoudi was born in Tangier and attended ESAV film school in 2011 to study screenwriting and directing.
In 2013, he shot "Piétà", a short documentary about the struggle of divorced women, which was shown in "Châteaumercier" in Switzerland and at the festival "Moussa invite" in Senegal. In 2014, as a work for his Bachelor in Directing, he shot "Layla", a short film about the last days of an old couple. This film was selected for the 14th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival in the category "Cinécole".
After a career as an assistant director on Moroccan and international film sets, Ahmed Messoudi returned to directing in 2017, shooting "From Casa to Marseille" and 2019 "Whisper of thorns". After the Pandemic, he returned behind the camera to shoot "Beneath her lipstick" in 2022.
