Joel Urzua, a Los Angeles-born actor with Mexican heritage, found his roots in Aguascalientes, Ags., Mexico, before returning to California at 17. There, he pursued higher education, earning a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Spanish from Cal Poly Pomona University. Joel's unique journey led him to the office of Emily Thornberry, a Member of Parliament in London, igniting a profound passion for the theater and entertainment industry.
From a tender age, Joel showcased his talents in poetry and choral competitions throughout middle school. As a member of the Mexican traditional dance group, Xhanat, he performed at various locations in California. Disneyland Resorts marked a significant stage for Joel, where he took on a leading role in the theatrical show "Don Quixote" and featured in the musical "Guys and Dolls" at Long Beach Playhouse.
Beyond his acting career, Joel is an active member of the choir, Los Angeles Lawyer Philharmonic and Legal Voices, founded and conducted by Gary S. Greene, Esq., and directed by Jim Raycroft, Choral Director. Joel's versatile voice spans the range of tenor and baritone.
