-Anick Dumontet was born in a tiny village in northern Alberta (Canada) at a temperature of ...-50°C! The daughter of an airplane pilot, she lived in France before returning to Canada, where she lived in Rimouski, Chicoutimi, Toronto, Quebec City, Ottawa and Montreal. From birth, she was destined to make the weather and live out of her suitcases!
With a bachelor's degree in public communications, she began her career as a weatherwoman in the Outaouais region, on the 6 p.m. news of CHOT, TVA's regional station. Later, she became a columnist on "Bla! Bla! Bla!" then weather presenter on "Salut Bonjour! week-end", she also did the L'auto au quotidien and Auto flash columns on "Automag".
Anick was also a member of the "Sucré Salé" team, as a columnist. In the summer of 2005, she embarked on a brand new adventure with "Côté cours... côté jardins", a gardening show she co-hosts with Rock Giguère. In the summer of 2006, she returned for a second year at the helm of the show.
Naturally, the whole of Quebec fell under the spell of the energetic Anick when she became the "Miss météo" of "Salut, Bonjour!" For nearly 4 1/2 years, every weekday morning, rain or shine, she immersed us in her always flamboyant universe!
She left the morning show in the spring of 2009 to take on a new challenge within the TVA network, hosting the program "Roue de fortune chez vous!" A role she has taken on with brio every summer since 2009. Travelling the roads of Quebec, Anick delights over a million viewers!
