Karlene Millwood is a multi-faceted, multi-award-winning entrepreneur, Amazon #1 bestselling author, screenwriter, playwright, and international speaker who is passionate about changing minds and lives with her work.
Through her production company, Karlene Millwood Productions, formerly Jazz D'Vine Entertainment, she has significantly impacted the lives of children in the Caribbean. Her yearly jazz showcases have funded scholarships for several children in the Caribbean. These showcases also provided short-term employment for artists in-between jobs and have even launched the independent careers of others.
Karlene wrote, produced and directed her first theatre project in 2014 titled, Forgiven, which was funded completely out of pocket and through sponsorships. Forgiven boasted a repertoire of 11 cast members and another dozen extras and crew combined. Not satisfied resting on her laurels, Karlene is developing other film and theatrical productions, projected to be completed in 2023.
This versatile artist decided to hone her craft further by studying at the Vancouver Film School in 2016 and has since produced two short films in 2016 and 2017 respectively, one of which she also wrote and directed.
