Born in Belford Roxo and Raised in São João de Meriti, cities of Baixada Fluminense (literally "Fluminense Lowland"). Marcos has Studied at Escola Livre de Cinema de Nova Iguaçu, also Baixada Fluminense and Later in Centro AfroCarioca de Cinema, an African and black cinema school for the diaspora and cultural center, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
In 2018 has founded the ECA Àwòrán, a arts and cinema school for the diaspora. Since then has, created, organized and produced cinema clubs, film festivals, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, masterclasses, courses and meetings about cinema, guerrilla filmmaking and audiovisual.
Has directed and edited and/or produced over 40 shorts films, in Brasil, Argentina and Sweden.
