Former White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Matthews said she would not vote for her former boss, Donald Trump, because she feels he will not uphold the U.S. Constitution if he is reelected.
Matthews made these comments during an interview on MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki.
“What goes through your head when you see people who clearly know better defending Trump, as they just did,” Psaki asked the former White House deputy press secretary.
“Yeah, it’s really frustrating ’cause, as you noted, some of the things they’ve said publicly about Donald Trump are horrible, and then they’re going on and endorsing him,” Matthews responded.
“So, I can only imagine the things that they say privately,” she added. “I’ve talked with a lot of Republicans, high-up elected officials, and things like that, who will bash him privately, but many of them will not even say it publicly.

Donald Trump spent his Sunday morning posting on Truth Social about former White House staffers who testified before the Jan. 6 committee.
Cassidy Hutchinson, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sarah Matthews appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday in an interview with Jonathan Karl to caution America about the dangers a second Trump presidency could bring. In retaliation, Trump took to his personal social media network, posting screenshots of old tweets and excerpts from articles and interviews where Griffin and Matthews were defending or praising him. It’s been well documented that people around former President Donald Trump advised him to do something to quell his supporters as they stormed the Capitol last Jan. 6. Instead, Trump made it worse, tweeting at 2:24 p.m. that “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what was necessary.” The Jan. 6 committee revealed on Thursday that Chief of Staff Mark Meadows informed Trump of the riot before he sent the tweet, and that the tweet “immediately” caused rioters inside and outside of the Capitol to “surge.”

We live in divisive times.
Americans are split on whether the climate crisis is real, whether everyone should have access to affordable health care, and whether the wealthy should pay their fair share in taxes. The pandemic demonstrated that Americans can’t even agree on whether it’s worth trying to prevent hundreds of thousands of death from an infectious disease. The last few days have proved they can’t even agree on an adversarial authoritarian superpower invading an allied democracy is a bad thing.
There is, however, one thing...

Paatal Lok
(9 Episodes, Amazon Prime Video)
Starring Neeraj Kabi as Sanjeev Mehra,Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathiram Chaudhary,Abhishek Banerjee as Hathoda Tyagi,Swastika Mukherjee as Dolly Mehra,Ishwak Singh as Imran Ansari
Directed by Prosit Roy & Avinsh Arun Dhaware
This one just blows you away, no two ways about it. After suffering the load of crap that’s being offloaded on the digital platform to make hay while the sun strangles, Paatal Lok comes as a jolting reminder of what levels of brilliant storytelling can be achieved on the Ott platform by those who know how to use the extended space afforded by the medium.
Not a single moment is wasted in the 9 episodes of taut and coiled storytelling. This is a series that requires our complete and unconditional attention as Sudeep Sharma’s devious screenplay slithers from one level of dramatic tension to another without an iota of selfcongratulation.
