Bart De Meirsman is a versatile actor of Flemish descent, born in Torhout, Belgium. Growing up in a household of entrepreneurs, Bart's upbringing was filled with a strong work ethic and determination. His Dutch-speaking father and French-speaking mother instilled in him a love for languages and a deep appreciation for culture. He speaks many languages including English, French, Dutch, Flemish, German, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
From a young age, Bart showed a keen interest in the performing arts. Starting with poetry contests and theater productions. His charming and genuine personality bring out pure, truthful and exotic characterizations. In last year of senior high he took the lead role as Napoleon Bonaparte in the school's play.
After completing his Bachelors in Business Administration, Bart decided to pursue acting, and his dedication and talent quickly caught the attention of industry professionals. His ability to connect with audiences on an emotional level and breathe life into every character he embodies has garnered him critical acclaim and a loyal following. After working with several student directors of RITS and Saint-Lukas in Brussels, Bart auditioned for LUCA Lemmens Institute in Leuven, Belgium where he got accepted into the Drama program and studied Stanislavsky technique.
Since then, Bart has lived in 4 continents and began his acting career in Europe and Australia before becoming a US citizen in 2021. He landed his first agent and acting gigs in Belgium and the Netherlands before moving to China and later on Australia. He took on camera classes at TAFTA and a classical theatre workshop by the Black Swan State Theatre Company in Perth, WA where he also landed representation. Bart has showcased his talent across a diverse range of roles, effortlessly transitioning from heart-wrenching dramas to side-splitting comedies on stage, TV, in film and commercials. He has kept honing his craft with 'work outs' in Meisner Technique at Jeff Goldblum's and Robert Carnegie's Playhouse West in North Hollywood, CA. Throughout his career Bart has had a chance to closely work with Belgian stars like Joren Seldeslachts, Australian actor John Orcsik and Hollywood Star Scott Caan.
During the pandemic Bart has been voice acting in projects for Netflix and the Gaming Industry. In addition to acting he works with kids as a GATE teacher and Behavioral Therapist in multiple school districts all over LA. Bart's credits include appearances on American series 'Riley Parra' (2018), the feature 'Burden' (2018) Don Nigro's Theatre premiere of 'Wasteland' with the Collaborative Artist's Ensemble in Hollywood, starring as American poet Ezra Pound (2018) and as Elven Lord in the film 'Tanadriel and the precious Crystal' (2023)
