Antonio Marshall(I)
- Visual Effects
January 11th, 1980 Antonio Marshall was born in a small town called Troy in North Carolina. As a kid he grew up with influential entrepreneurs in his life. His grand father John Quincy Broadway opened several businesses in the 50's in which was then inherited by his mother Patricia Broadway.
Antonio would help his mother run the family business Broadways Place up til the age of 17. During his days when things were slow Antonio would draw sketches of random things. Many of Antonios' drawings can be found at the family business to this day. What is interesting is that Antonio's artistic talents are hereditary. On the dining room wall of Antonio's childhood home hung a picture that his father Gaston Arthur Shaw had drawn. The picture was drawn upon an old pull down shade and framed as a mural. The image was of the Last supper. Antonio's father Gaston Shaw drew the picture, but was killed before Antonio ever got to meet him. That picture became inspirational to Antonio. As a kid Antonio attempted to copy the art piece that his father had drawn, but only on a sheet of notebook paper. Antonio's grand mother Mary Geneva Leake critiqued all of Antonios art, faithfully. Geneva taught Antonio the importance of staying within the lines of his coloring books. Time passed and Antonio got better and better with the help of the Legendary Bob Ross. Antonio watched many of the Bob Ross series on Television growing up.
Art became a passion, and Antonio continued through High School painting and drawing. Antonio did not recognize a place for artist in his community and chose to join the military. At the age of 17 Antonio joined the Army National Guard as an Artillery man. By age 19 in 1999 Antonio went Active duty to be apart of the Military Intelligence Community. Due to Marital problems and the military Antonio changed his Job once more to be a mechanic hoping to be stationed closer to his then wife Nicole Marie Clark. Things didn't work as expected and Antonio was shipped off to Germany. The interesting fact is that whenever Antonio was punished in the military - he was sent to paint murals on the battalion walls. Antonio began to lose his passion for art because of his punishments and lost his desire to paint.
In the year 2003, Antonio was put out of the military for a lower back injury and diagnosed with Testicular cancer. Surgery and double doses of Chemotherapy has helped keep Antonio alive today - along with a lot of prayer. Many of years passed and Antonio lost touch with himself and all mankind.
Antonio moved out west to Arizona in 2006 and took a passion to photography along with art. Antonio began to regain control of his life and decided to go back to college. At Pima Community college Antonio took up graphic design but did not complete schooling. Depressed with the thoughts of cancer returning Antonio withdrew from society and battled depression. The economy was still in shambles but Antonio attempted school again at Brown Mackie as a Graphic designer. The biggest question of all time for Antonio was, "Who am I?" Antonio knew deep inside that he was an Artist.
By the year 2011, Antonio went to College seeking to do fine art when his journey led him into VFX. Antonio attended the Art Institute of Las Vegas and graduated with a Bachelors degree as a Visual Effects and Motion Graphics artist. To this day Antonio enjoys every aspect as a producer, director, artist, and designer. Antonio has contributed to many projects from Music videos to simple logo designs.
