Porsha Shanese, (Born Porsha Shanese Thomas), was born and raised on the south side of Chicago with her mother and father. She is the only child who has always, since she was a little girl, been very enthusiastic and artsy. At 14 years old, Porsha made it up in her mind that she would get involved in the arts. Attending Curie Metro High School, she learned the ends and outs of theatre, and it became her first love. She has done Shakespeare performances at her high school and at Court Theatre, located on the east side of Chicago. She studied a theatre program at Goodman Theatre in downtown Chicago. After graduating high school, she went off to college to declare her major in Media Productions. Porsha Shanese became very interested in film, so she moved to Atlanta, Ga. when she was 20 years old in hopes of learning and networking with others just like her. She became involved in quite a few projects since she has moved to Atlanta. She is still working on theatre and film projects, photography and has an arts center in the works. There is definitely no stopping her now.
