Gabriel Jesse Medina is a Mexican-American writer, producer, and director known for his documentary Painter of Dreams and short film Lurker and Service with a Smile.
Gabriel began his career in high school when asked if he would like to join his school's Video Academy program where he developed his skills in short filmmaking. While attending UCLA for undergraduate study, Gabriel Interned at several companies and grew his skill in film producing and developed his skills in Chicana/o/e literature and filmmaking. After graduating Gabriel returned home and developed a short filmmaking program in his hometown through the non-profit organization the Digital NEST. In 2020 he established Calavera Media developing projects in magical realism, horror, and the drama genre.
Gabriel is a graduate of the Peter Stark Producing program at USC.
