Jerome Okresik
- Music Department
Music is his passion ! He plays the trumpet. He has been playing for several years in different bands and he takes part in concerts. This passion led him to what is now his job.
That's why, after graduating in high school, he decided to study at l'EICAR in Paris (Ecole Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation de Paris / The International Film School of Paris). He was eager to learn more about sound, he really had a strong wish to find out how it worked in the audiovisual and the cinema.
While studying, he had to master subjects and do training sessions. At first, he experienced all the stages of post production concerning sound with the editor David Amsalem, and there, he also started achieving his first professional compositions for a chain of spas.
Then he joined Armand Amar's team, famous film score composer and he worked for him as a sound assistant. He had the opportunity to participate in the recording of great musicians as Michel Portal, Ibrahim Maalouf or Sarah Nemtanu, and to work for directors such as Yann Arthus Bertrand and Radu Mihaileanu including the movie "La Source des Femmes". (Cannes film festival 2011)
He has decided to devote himself to making people happy and dancing to the sound of electronic music ! In 2012, he created a remix for the french artist Christophe Willem. The track, signed to Sony Music, appears in the singer's digital EP. He was also rewarded audience's choice award for his contribution to the Debussy International Remix Contest from London.
In 2013, he continues his work in composing and writing texts offering another look on our world. 2014 is his official appearance in the IMDb working as music-preparator for short-movies : he edits scores for the french composer Nicolas Techer who lives in Los Angeles. In 2015, he became a music teacher at the junior high school and also a trumpet teacher in music schools.
He continues to develop his activities as a sound engineer offering musicians recording, consulting and investing in new materials. In parallel, he's particularly interested in an incredible experience : Music of the Plants. The realization that plants and trees can actually interact through music is both moving and sparks a new level of discussion about the consciousness of nature.
From 2019 to 2022, a local musical association gives him the opportunity for global management, entrusting him with the management of the orchestras and the music school. Nourished by these various experiences, he now remains at the service of musicians to meet all their technical expectations and creative projects. A recent meeting allows him to work regularly as an editor for Warner Chappell Production (Warner Music group).
