- Brett Houdek, a proud Midwesterner, was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. He grew up performing in musicals at school, church, local theatre programs, and the community theater, Racine Theatre Guild.
A professionally trained actor, Brett studied at Second City in Chicago, IL, Actor's Craft with Maureen Cashin Bolog in Kenosha, WI, and AMTC (Actors, Models, & Talent for Christ) in Chicago, IL, and Florida (2012). Brett studied improvisation, on-camera acting, and voice acting.
Since 2013, Brett has been an active member of the WGTD 91.1 Players, based in Kenosha, Wisconsin, performing live on the radio dozens of times. Brett also performed regularly in murder mysteries across southeastern Wisconsin with a professional acting troupe. He even appeared several times on horror host Dr. Destruction's Crimson Theatre TV show.
Brett has acted in numerous film projects. In 2016, he was nominated for Best Actor at Ohio's Horrorhound Film Festival and Convention for his starring role in the short film Greg the Grouchy Gremlin. He co-starred in 2017's faith-based film The UnMiracle with Kevin Sorbo and Stephen Baldwin.
As a voice actor, Brett played "RD," a robot, in numerous episodes of The Brinkman Adventures, a faith-based, family audio drama, and he narrated the Diddly Dooper children's audiobook series.

- In 2016, Brett was nominated for Best Actor at Ohio's Horrorhound Film Festival and Convention for his starring role in the short film Greg the Grouchy Gremlin.
- While filming Greg the Grouchy Gremlin (2015), Brett injured his knees. During the scene where he constantly switched back and forth between the gremlin and the rooster, the major physicality of the role caused the knees to bleed through his pants and stain the carpet. Some skin peeled off the knees, as well. It took a few weeks for Brett's body to heal.
- For the film "Boy Minus Girl" (2014), Director James Lawrence originally intended the supporting role of "Max" to be female. However, he was so impressed with Brett's video audition that he decided to change the part to male, and he instantly offered Brett the role.
