Stefano is a London-based composer of concert music and music for visual media. He holds an MA in Composing for Film & TV from the National Film & Television School in the UK, widely considered to be one of the top film schools in the world. He is an accomplished flautist and has a Specialist Certificate in Orchestration for Film & TV from Berklee College of Music where he was awarded a Celebrity Online Scholarship.
In 2018, Stefano worked on a 5-part documentary series "Al Murray: Why Does Everyone Hate The English" which was shown on the History Channel in October. He also composed the score for the film Dead Birds (2018), starring Tara Fitzgerald (Game of Thrones), which was nominated for a Student Academy Award. Short films he wrote the music for include The Whale Bowl (2017) and Alright (2017) which have been among the Official Selection at numerous international film festivals. He also wrote the music for Goathland which was broadcast on UK national television (Channel 4) in 2017.
Stefano has had many of his works recorded at the renowned Angel Studios in London. His piece "9 May 1950", a trio for violin, piano and flute, won first prize in the competition, EUPlay, resulting in a performance of his piece in Brussels. In April 2018, Stefano won 3rd prize at the International Animated Film Music Competition.
In April, Stefano was selected as h Club London's Music Emerging Creative. The programme will provide coaching, mentoring and support as he develops his debut album during 2019/20.
