Dafydd Anthony has been a musician for the past 17 years, with
experience ranging from touring with a successful band, to TV and Radio
appearances and writing and producing original music for the media.
Dafydd was born in South Wales. Fascinated by music at a very early age, he began demonstrating a singular interest towards music, especially playing piano and guitar. Mostly self-taught, Dafydd has gained his experience through years of dedication to making music as a songwriter, collaborator and co-director of an independent record label.
Although not brought up in a musical family, his growth in music became more evident throughout his school years after learning a brass instrument and being part of the school orchestra. Dafydd started to compose his first songs at age 15, and was the lead guitarist in numerous bands, including The Last Republic, a UK band who during their career shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Rock and Pop music.
Dafydd studied at The Royal Welsh College of Music where he gained a BA Honours Degree in Popular Music focusing on composition and arrangement where he received a solid grounding in all aspects of composing contemporary music and writing for screen.
