- Josh Croft was born on August 18th, 1981 in Vonore, TN. He graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1999. He attended Middle TN State University from 1999-2004 obtaining a Theater degree with minors in Flim and English. Josh's first feature film role was on DreamWorks' "The Last Castle" (2001) playing an inmate. He has done several regional theatrical productions, TV shows, and commercials. His first major film role was as Jeff Granger in the found-footage indie feature "CHEST" (2022). Josh also produced "CHEST" with his production company JCROductions. - Josh shares his birthday, August 18th, with Robert Redford. Josh's first film role was an extra in "The Last Castle" starring Redford. He also shares his birthday with Patrick Swayze, Ed Norton, and Christian Slater.
- "CHEST" has a dedication in the end credits for Vernon Ray Croft who was Josh's father. He tragically passed away from a timber accident while "CHEST" was still in production.
- While attending college at Middle TN State University, Josh and "CHEST" director Aaron Irons collaborated on a three part miniseries "Dreamphones" for the campus TV station MTTV. Croft wrote the script and Irons composed the score.
- Josh, along with "CHEST" director Aaron Irons grew up in a little town in East Tennessee called Vonore. They shot the majority of the film there and surrounding areas.
