Shelia Hamilton

Shelia Tameka Hamilton was born to Maple Hamilton and Will Hamilton on
July 30, 1982. Her mother is a Chickasaw, Seminole, and Black woman
from Stonewall, Oklahoma. Her father is from Stonewall, Oklahoma. Maple
gave birth to Shelia at the age of 39. Shelia is the youngest of ten.
Her mother, Maple, is well-known and respected for forty years of
catering services for special events and associations at local church.
Growing up, Shelia's favorite pastime was watching her mother prepare
various pies, cobblers, pashofa, and special dishes. Her father picked
cotton before entering into the Army at the age of seventeen.
Afterwards, Will made twenty five dollars a week working on a ranch to
support a growing family. And later, retired after twenty seven years
of service from Holcium. Will stories of his life in Germany and
international travel prompted Shelia to travel abroad. She studied the
Polish language and culture in Warsaw and Krakow Poland while attending
the University of Central Oklahoma. In 2004, Shelia graduated with a
B.A in English and minor in Theater Arts. She traveled extensively, and
worked various jobs with a strong background in teaching. Shelia
rediscovered her talent and passion for acting while working with
private acting coach and best-selling author, Janet B. Milstein. She
recalls her mother being her first acting coach. At the young age of 5,
Shelia begin to perform various speeches and short plays at her local
church under the direction of Maple. In February of 2013, she booked a
small role of reporter in her first movie
Ratpocalypse (2015).Two months
later she landed another part of a college professor in the feature
film, Rudderless (2014).
