Gareth Seltzer
- Producer
Gareth is a Canadian visionary who has spent much of the past two decades contributing to the success of a number of varied businesses and artistic endeavors. With an original focus on outreach and not-for-profit initiatives like Dying with Dignity Canada, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Breakfast for Learning (providing meals for youth at risk), and The Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, Gareth teamed up with RYOT Co-Founder Bryn Mooser and his partner David Darg in the formation of the non-fiction documentary film house RYOT. This collaboration fueled the growth of RYOT into one of the largest and most impactful documentary film making houses on the planet. With fellow artists and supporters like Paul Allen, Elon Musk, Olivia Wilde and others, hugely important films informing on issues like the Ebola outbreak (Body Team 12), typhoons in the Philippines, the war in Syria (Welcome fo Aleppo) and many more have gone on to earn Academy Award Nominations, Emmy's, and countless awards across the spectrum. RYOT was sold to Verizon in 2016. Gareth continues to provide focus and advisory services to enterprising initiatives where the values are consistent with informing audiences and supporting those without a voice.
