Jasmine Davidoff was born June 21, 1990 in Portland, Oregon to Jewish
immigrant parents. She is the only child of loan shark father (of whom
she is estranged) and a teacher mother. Her family left Oregon and
moved overseas for two years when she was very young. At age four, she
and her family returned to the United States settling in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
Davidoff's first acting job happened fortuitously one day when a local
Vegas radio DJ announced a last-minute call for background extras on
the set of the 20th Century Fox romantic comedy "What Happens in Vegas"
(2008) starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. She called in sick to
school, drove down to the Palms Resort & Casino and was handpicked by
director Tom Vaughan to recite a line opposite Kutcher. This was her
very first paycheck. The experience prompted her to move to Los Angeles
at age seventeen.
