- Algin Strickland began as a volunteer Board Operator at WRIR 97.3 in the Summer of 2006, and was quickly drawn to the Fire House Théâtre on the same block, where he took acting lessons & attending college movie nights. In 2008, Fire House began hosting Pretending Trees acting & improv club, which Strickland attended regularly. Later that fall, he scored his first film roll in the short, Comfort Zone (2008), when he was one of only two people who showed up to audition. Since then, he has made his reputation as a skilled board operator & voice over for two different low power radio stations, and has accumulated some of his own sound equipment for both field & studio. Algin Strickland has acted in student films in Lynchburg, Charlottesville, and around the Chesapeake Bay area, acted in live theatre once, and performed as an extra for Legends & Lies- The Patriots, but is best known for his regular appearances in the Richmond, Virginia edition of The 48 Hour Film Challenge.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Algin P Strickland IV
