‘Supergirl’: Amy Jackson Talks Saturn Girl Being ‘More Than Her Relationship’ With Mon-El

‘Supergirl’: Amy Jackson Talks Saturn Girl Being ‘More Than Her Relationship’ With Mon-El
Saturn Girl (Amy Jackson) is finally getting the team-up with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) she’s always wanted.

Last week it was revealed that Saturn Girl (aka Imra), Mon-El (Chris Wood), and the rest of the Legion have the key to saving the future hidden in their DNA, but that didn’t stop Saturn Girl convincing the rest of the Legion to help the Deo with Reign (Odette Annable) in Supergirl’s absence.

“I think that’s just her personality,” Jackson tells Variety on why she was the first to step forward. “She always sees the good in people, she wants to change the world. Also, she’s always looked up to Supergirl who’s been her idol since day one. So to get the chance to help her — even though it might have a consequence — she can’t see anything but helping her.”

This week’s episode — titled “Fort Rozz” — is being pegged as a “girl power” episode

Supergirl Season 3 Episode 10 Review – ‘Legion of Superheroes’

Martin Carr reviews the tenth episode of Supergirl season 3…

Bruised and battered she may be but episode ten offers up the strongest return of Supergirl thus far after Christmas break. Literally beaten into a bloody pulp prior to our Yuletide festivities, in one of the best cliff hangers I have ever watched she comes back fighting. Kara may be fully immersed and out of action, but what showrunners have done elsewhere with ‘Legion of Superheroes’ makes for solid entertainment.

Mon-El and his future wife stand side by side with the usual suspects while Reign brings on the big bad. Odette Annable formidably embodies fire and brimstone wrath of God vengeance as an impervious opponent of injustice, punishing all who dare defy her. Combine that with the separate moments between Brainiac Five and Kara and it makes for an intriguing mix. There are comedic asides which break up the fisticuffs, theological

The Legion Of Super-Heroes Confront Reign In New Supergirl Clip

Even with an extended hiatus looming, it sure does look like Supergirl will squeeze in a fair amount of memorable moments within the four episodes set to air over the next few weeks. For starters, the Legion of Super-Heroes will be making their presence known in the midseason premiere itself.

So far, the network has been slowly pulling back the curtain on each individual member of one of DC’s oldest and most beloved super teams. Not long ago, we got our first look at Brainiac 5 and, more recently, we saw both Mon-El and Saturn Girl suit up.

But with the next episode now being merely hours away, the cat has been partially let out of the bag. To be more specific, our latest treat comes in the form of an actual clip excised from the highly anticipated midseason premiere.

New Supergirl Extended Promo Reveals First Look At Brainiac 5

If you’re one to follow the Arrowverse and tuned in for the recent midseason finales, then you’re well aware of how each of them left off on crazy cliffhangers that knocked us on our rears. Of course, Supergirl was the show that got the ball rolling, and it did so in brutal fashion.

Being the first series to come off the monumental crossover that was Crisis on Earth-x, it was important that the Maiden of Might had a strong showing – and that she did. Or at least, her TV show as an entity did, because Kara Zor-El herself was handed a beatdown like no other at the hands of Reign in a visceral battle that won’t be soon forgotten. And when you consider that Kara once bested her cousin, Superman, in a round of fisticuffs, that should give you an idea of just how formidable the Worldkiller truly is.
