The Michael J Fox Show: NBC Sitcom Officially Cancelled

11 May 2014 12:47 PM, PDT | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

NBC had high hopes for The Michael J Fox Show when they committed to 22 episodes without even seeing a pilot. A year later, the sitcom's been cancelled.

Loosely mirroring Fox's own journey, The Michael J. Fox Show revolves around a beloved TV news anchor (Fox) who stepped away from his career to focus on his family and his health after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. The rest of the cast includes Betsy Brandt, Conor Romero, Juliette Goglia, Katie Finneran, Wendell Pierce, Ana Nogueira, and Jack Gore.

Last fall, the show debuted well (by current NBC sitcom standards) but the ratings sank with each subsequent week. The network kept it on the air despite truly terrible ratings. The network maintained that they believed in the show but ultimately pulled it after 15 episodes.

Now, NBC has officially cancelled the The Michael J »

A seemingly wholesome family, the Parkers have always kept to themselves but behind closed doors, patriarch Frank rules the family with a rigorous fervour. When a torrential rainstorm moves in, tragedy strikes and his daughters Iris and Rose are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family. Once the local authorities begin to uncover clues, they are brought closer to the secret that the Parkers have held close for so many years.

Jim Mickle’s We Are What We Are is a sort of but not really English-language remake of  Jorge Michel Grau’s film about a family of cannibals. I’ve not seen the original. However this version is set in a rainy and forest filled area of the Us and »

We Are What We Are Review

27 February 2014 3:30 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

When remaking a mediocre movie you have the wonderful opportunity and artistic license to improve upon what came before, and attempt to put right some of the faults of the initial production. However Jim Mickle’s We Are What We Are – a remake of the 2010 Mexican film of the same name – is about as ordinary as what came before, in a very similar set of circumstances to what we witnessed with the Silent House remake the year before last.

We delve into the home life of the Parkers, a reclusive family consisting of father Frank (Bill Sage), his daughters Iris (Ambyr Childers) and Rose (Julia Garner) and the youngest child, Rory (Jack Gore) – all of which are attempting to overcome the mysterious and untimely death of their wife and mother, respectively. Though appearing as benevolent to their neighbours, behind closed doors this unusual family follow a strict set of ancient customs and traditions, »

'The Michael J. Fox Show' Season 1, episode 13: Mike's familiar-looking neighbor has a 'Secret'

9 January 2014 9:30 PM, PST | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

On-screen reunions are beginning for the title star of "The Michael J. Fox Show."

An upcoming story will reteam Fox with Christopher Lloyd -- Doc Brown to his Marty McFly in the "Back to the Future" movies. In Thursday's (Jan. 9) episode of his NBC sitcom, "Secret," Fox was partnered again with Richard Kind, who played mayoral press secretary and noted sycophant Paul Lassiter on "Spin City."

Kind's latest TV character is Mr. Norwood, a neighbor in the Henrys' apartment building. Mike helps him move a bounty of suitcases into the elevator as Norwood tells him he's going on a "water-slide tour of the lower Southwest." Actually, he's going somewhere else: jail, since cops are waiting for him on the ground floor with guns drawn.

Mike can't believe he "missed the story" that the suddenly revealed mobster was living so close to him, but youngest child Graham (Jack Gore) knows what's up. »
