Valerian 2 Still Possible Following Positive Fan Reactions

19 September 2017 9:46 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Just because a movie happens to be one of the biggest bombs of summer doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad movie. And that very much seems to be the case for Valerian. Sure, the movie tanked in the states, arriving as the most expensive production in France's long cinematic history. But fans who actually ventured into theaters to see it loved it for the most part. And because of that, director Luc Besson believes Valerian 2 may happen sooner than later.

There were some big disappointments at the summer box office, including King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Dark Tower. But perhaps none landed with a louder thud than Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, based on an old comic book that most in this country aren't overly familiar with. The movie was a big budget visual roller coaster that looked like nothing that has come before. Sure, »

Delevingne, 25, has modeled for Burberry over the years, starring in multiple advertising campaigns for the classic British luxury brand — including her very nude 2014 campaign with supermodel Kate Moss.

Of course, there’s no confirmation on whether Delevingne actually got her lip pierced or if she pulled a Kim Kardashian West and wore a faux »

Gavin O’Connor To Direct Suicide Squad 2

6 September 2017 4:11 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

For months now, Warner Bros. has been on the hunt for someone to get behind the camera on Suicide Squad 2, and while they came close with filmmakers like Mel Gibson and Jaume Collet-Serra, it seems like they’ve finally found their man. Deadline is reporting that Gavin O’Connor, who recently did The Accountant for WB, will helm the sequel, which is said to reunite Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Will Smith.

From what we understand, the project is a “top priority” for Warner Bros. (not surprising, given how well the first film did in terms of box office receipts) and it could enter production as early as next year. No word yet on which other cast members might be returning (although, we wouldn’t count on seeing Cara Delevingne back as Enchantress), but with a director now pinned down, expect to hear more on that soon.

Our Favorite Faces Of Alicia Vikander

4 September 2017 8:00 AM, PDT | Screen Anarchy | See recent Screen Anarchy news »

This weekend saw the premiere of Justin Chadwick's long-awaited period drama Tulip Fever, a film with a cast worth at least several boxes of black bulbs. In it we see Dane DeHaan, Alicia Vikander, Christoph Waltz, Judy Dench, Kevin McKidd, Zach Galifianakis... and Cara Delevingne's appearance even makes you briefly wonder if this is meant to be a Valerian prequel. Plenty of choice this week for the "Our Favorite Faces" article, as you'll agree, and out of that group I'm choosing Alicia Vikander. Just reading her short bio makes me gasp in wonder: a Swedish dancer who turned actress a few years ago, she's not even 29 but has won over 60 acting awards already, including the Academy award for Best Actress in a Supporting...
