- Started writing screenplays when he was eight years old.
- Had a radio show in college called "That Epic Movie Show" with Robert Miller and Sean McDermott where Seth Swirsky was interviewed. Separate to the show, Richard also interviewed drummer Ryland Steen of Reel Big Fish on air.
- Wrote for Horror-Movies.ca as a contributor for the fourth season of The Walking Dead (2010) which initially began in October 2013.
- In May 2013, his experimental film He Will Take You (2013) was accepted into Cinefest, a film festival at Fairfield University; his capstone film, a comedy called My Senior Moment (2015), was accepted into the same festival in May 2015.
- Often finds himself backing various campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo to support a wide variety of content producers ranging from comic books, novels and independent film productions. Some of these include Little Miss Sumo (2018), Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound (2019), The Empire Strikes Door (2019), In Search of Darkness (2019), In Search of the Last Action Heroes (2019), and Pick It Up!: Ska in the '90s (2019).
- While working for a marketing company, he edited a cheesy local car commercial that went viral after it was featured on Godfrey's podcast, "In Godfrey We Trust.".
