According to Bob Brown, his business, Red Baron's, did more than $30 million a year in revenue during the 1980s and 1990s. He claimed to spend a quarter million dollars on food, drinks, and entertainment for the black-tie preview parties preceding he weekend-long auctions he held only three times a year. This ended after the recession in 2007.
