Charlotte Taschen was born in Köln, Germany, to a prominent art book publisher and cabinetmaker mother. Though initially the youngest of three, Charlotte now enjoys a large blended family with six siblings. She was a natural performer and athlete from early childhood, taking up ballet at age four. At six she added the ancient sport of competitive vaulting, gymnastics performed atop a galloping horse, which she continued until age 18. She's proficient in KuTaeKaDo and a black belt in Taekwondo. Charlotte's acting career began at 11, with community musical theater in Köln. Before leaving Germany at age 18, Charlotte was privately coached for six years by Bettina Dorn and Christoph Hilger of Berlin. She obtained a bachelor's degree in economics from Utrecht University. She is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish. Charlotte moved to Los Angeles where her father, Benedikt Taschen, maintains a home. Charlotte completed a one-year conservatory program at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She continues to study with some of L.A.'s great acting teachers, most notable with Judith Weston and Catlin Adams. Charlotte is an active member of the Elephant Theatre Company in Hollywood and the Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood. She appears in numerous independent productions, including "Roulette", "and "Die Dinge die waren" (German), with starring roles in "Pace" and "You Loved Seahorses" (American). Most recently, Charlotte has a supporting role in "The Have-Nots", a German feature length drama and stars in Angeles Woo's action short "Nuts", for which she trained with legendary stunt choreographer John Kreng. She is confirmed to play the lead female character in the English-Italian feature film "Isola", directed by Maia Guarnaccia, filming in Spring 2016.
