  • BuzzSugar
If you make it far enough on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, you're bound to get a reputation or a nickname that will stick with you for a while. In Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s case, it's "the Kissing Bandit." Rewind to 2012 when we first met Luyendyk Jr. as he was competing for Emily Maynard's heart on season eight of The Bachelorette. He made it far in the season as the runner-up, so he had a lot of time to steal some smooches - and he totally took advantage of it! It seemed like every other minute the race car driver was locking lips with Maynard. And that's where the Kissing Bandit title all started! Personally, our favorite Arie kiss of all time is his moment of passion with Maynard in an alleyway. Enough said. via Giphy Even former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky took notice, telling Elite Daily, "I remember watching him

The Bachelor Premiere Recap: First Aggression Rose

The Bachelor Premiere Recap: First Aggression Rose
The Bachelor is back, and everything just feels right, if also slightly annoying. While we were at first unsure of the choice of Arie Luyendyk Jr., who was Emily Maynard's runner-up a million (or five) years ago, we have to admit we're here for it. We're not saying "Peter who?" quite yet, but we are intrigued. So far, Arie's got a nice, disarming smile, and he doesn't seem like an attention-grabbing jerk, which is always a great start. Tonight's premiere was just like every other Bachelor premiere for the most part. Arie got some advice from Catherine and the apparent King of The Bachelor, Sean Lowe, and declared that he would love to have what Sean and Catherine have. He even held...

Sean and Catherine Lowe Have a Timeline for Adoption While Pregnant With Baby No. 2 (Exclusive)
Sean and Catherine Lowe are a team. That's why when Et spoke to the Bachelor alumni via phone and Catherine was sick with the flu (and pregnant!), Sean was planning to whip up dinner for their family. "She's been on the couch for the past 48 hours trying to get over this thing," he said.

Luckily, Catherine's second pregnancy, which she announced in early November, has been relatively easy so far.

"It’s really been the same [as when I was pregnant with our first son]," she said. "I didn’t have cravings with Samuel and now I don’t have cravings or any aversions, so it’s really as if I’m not pregnant, and I know other pregnant people hate to hear that! I didn’t have morning sickness either. I guess I’m just meant to be a pregnant person.”

Sean Lowe Says Arie Luyendyk Jr. Filmed a 'Bachelor' Intro Years Ago (Exclusive)
Arie Luyendyk Jr. is our new Bachelor, but according to his old pal, Sean Lowe, he was almost the Bachelor once before!

Et spoke with Lowe and his wife, Catherine (Giudici) Lowe, by phone. Lowe, of course, was third runner-up on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette in 2012, with Luyendyk coming in second. The two have remained friends, and Lowe, who was Bachelor in 2013, has always been a champion of Luyendyk following in his footsteps.

"I’ve been lobbying for Arie forever," Lowe reveals. "I think they actually told him he was going to be the Bachelor the year they told Chris Soules, and they even filmed some of [Arie's] intro package in Arizona, and ultimately pulled the rug out from underneath him in the end."

Sean Lowe on How The ‘Bachelor’ Franchise Could Produce Better Couples (Exclusive)
Sean and Catherine Lowe arearguably the most successful couple in Bachelor history. They're the only example of a Bachelor proposing to a woman on the reality show and marrying her, and they're even still hitched! Et spoke with them on the phone as they geared up to celebrate their four-year wedding anniversary in January.

"First, you have to commit," Sean says of the secret to their marital success. "Especially coming off of a show like The Bachelor. You’re being pulled in 1,000 different directions and you have to ... make each other your No. 1 priority."

"It takes a lot of work," he continues. "Surround yourself with good people, good couples you can look up to and ask advice from. ... As a married man you alter your ways and do what you can to please your spouse. I think we both do a good job of that. It’s all about committing through good times or bad. ... Breaking up is never an

'Bachelor' Arie Luyendyk Jr. Says He Hasn't 'Felt the Same Feelings' Since Emily Maynard Split (Exclusive)

'Bachelor' Arie Luyendyk Jr. Says He Hasn't 'Felt the Same Feelings' Since Emily Maynard Split (Exclusive)
Fans can thank Emily Maynard for encouraging Arie Luyendyk Jr. to become the Bachelor.

Though Maynard chose Jef Holm over him on her season of The Bachelorette in 2012 (she later married Tyler Johnson and recently gave birth to their third child together), according to Luyendyk, five years without the love he shared with Maynard inspired him to return to the Bachelor franchise.

"I haven't felt that same feeling that I had when I was on The Bachelorette. It really drove me to do this," he confessed exclusively to Et's Lauren Zima during his first official Bachelor photo shoot in September, right before filming began. "[The show] gave me the time to really put myself in front of somebody and shut everything [out] and not worry about work and all the other pressures of life."

"That's what makes it so amazing," Luyendyk continued. "You can really solely concentrate on finding somebody."

As for whether the 36-year-old race car driver has actually
