Back in 2008, Josh Schwartz - executive producer on TV series The O.C., Chuck and Gossip Girl - was hired to write the script for X-Men: First Class.

Early in 2009, he clarified that he was not set to helm the film because "I would be terrified to have the first thing I direct be a giant franchise movie."

And then in 2010, Bryan Singer came on board and started afresh, scrapping Schwartz's screenplay in favour of his own concept of an origin story set during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

We don't know exactly what Josh's mutant adventure entailed but, nevertheless, he is now making his feature film directing debut on the upcoming Halloween-themed comedy Fun Size.

The story sees a teen girl's plan to attend a huge Halloween party - thrown by the guy she likes - go awry when she's put in charge of her oddball little brother. Dressed as Spider-Man, »
