- Summer Nicks is an Australian filmmaker.
As the Creative Director and partner at Xeitgeist Entertainment Group, Summer has been instrumental in the production of several critically acclaimed films. His notable projects include the biopic "The Man Who Knew Infinity," featuring Jeremy Irons, Dev Patel, Stephen Fry, and Devika Bhise; the spy thriller "Damascus Cover," starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Hurt; and "Hotel Mumbai," starring Armie Hammer and Dev Patel.
Summer gained international recognition with his 2012-13 film "Seedlings," which won awards such as 'Best Film' and 'People's Choice Award' at the New York City Film Festival and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Film Festival. Aamina Sheikh, the film's lead, won the 'Best Actress Award' twice, and the film also received 'Best Film' at the DC South Asian Film Festival. Summer received multiple nominations for 'Best Original Screenplay.'
In 2014, his feature film "Operation 021," an action spy thriller, topped the box office in over ten territories.
