- Maria Breese was born Maria Breeskin on August 3 in Washington, DC- as a dual citizen of the United States and the Kingdom of Wales. Born the daughter of a college Dean and professional pianist, she began singing, dancing, and acting at a young age. Having appeared in several professional performances early on, she has won multiple national dance competitions with her former dance company in DC. Maria is noted, alongside her father, for writing the music and lyrics to the NFL Washington Commanders fight song, "Hail to the Commanders," penned after the original DC Redskins team fight song, "Hail to the Redskins," by her late grandfather, Barnee Breeskin.

- Maria graduated with a B.A. in Theatre and minor in Dance from The University of Tampa, and studied in England at Oxford University through the British American Drama Academy (B.A.D.A).
- Maria is the grand-daughter of famed Redskins fight song composer, Barnee Breeskin, who in 1938, composed the music for, "Hail to the Redskins", which to this day, is the current fight song for the team.
