Lena Dunham's Dog Bit Her in the Ass So She Posted a Picture of Her Bloody Underwear on Instagram
Lena Dunham has it rough. The star and creator of HBO's Girls sustained a minor injury Wednesday after her rescue dog, Lamby, got a little too aggressive. Dunham, 28, shared a picture of her blood-stained "Hopeless Romantic" underwear, writing, "My dog bit me on the ass and Jemima Kirke captured the image of a life time." A second Instagram picture shows the two-time Golden Globe winner's dog sprawled on her bed. "Now he's acting like he never nipped me on the behind," Dunham wrote in the photo caption. She also joked that she planned to call celebrity dog trainer Justin Silver Thursday morning to "sort this." Dunham also tweeted about the incident, writing,...

Dogs in the City: Cancelled or Returning for Season Two?

Last summer, CBS aired Dogs in the City, a show that follows New York City comic and "dog guru" Justin Silver as he helps his clients solve problems with their canines.

Dogs in the City wasn't a big ratings success for CBS. The six episode season ended up averaging a meager 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.29 million total viewers. Still, the series seemed to have a vocal and loyal fanbase.

Will Dogs in the City return for season two? The TV show was noticeably absent from CBS' announcement about their upcoming summer schedule. That will include Big Brother, Under the Dome, Unforgettable, and The American Baking Competition.

The show has been confirmed as cancelled by Tfc and it's been removed from CBS' press site. I contacted the show's former representatives but none of them replied. In my experience,

Dogs in the City: To Be Cancelled or Renewed for Season Two?

Some say that network television has gone to the dogs. CBS was hoping that canines would bring them some big ratings with Dogs in the City. Were they right? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Dogs in the City follows Manhattan's Justin Silver, the "go-to guy" for all things dog-related. In each installment, he meets with clients who have problems with their canines. Justin gets as imaginative as necessary to reach a satisfying resolution, often finding that the owners have as much to learn as their pups.

The TV series debuted on May 30th to a disappointing 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.72 million total viewers. The premiere drew less than half of what Fox attracted in the demo with So You Think You Can Dance and only narrowly beat some sitcom repeats on ABC.

CBS' 'Dogs in the City': A doggone good alternative to repeats? -- Video
Tonight, CBS will take a break from its usual programming to bring you a special program about dogs — specifically, the troublesome ones!

Rather than schedule yet another competition reality show, the Eye went in a different direction this summer with Dogs in the City, a new series about a New York City-based pooch trainer named Justin Silver. In this clip, Silver talks about what to expect from his new show, and who represents the biggest problem when it comes to owning a pet. (Hint: It ain’t the four-legged feller in the room).

'Dogs in the City' rebounds to 5.6m on CBS

'Dogs in the City' rebounds to 5.6m on CBS
Dogs in the City was the only new show to gain viewers last night, early Nielsen overnight data shows. Justin Silver's canine rehabilitation format drew 5.6m (1.1) at 8pm, rising 400k and two demo points week-on-week. However, the factual program still performed lower than CBS's repeats of Criminal Minds (5.6m/1.3) and CSI (5.8m/1.5), which ensured a runner-up place finish for the network. With So You Think You Can Dance managing to maintain a solid 6.5m (2.4), Fox topped primetime for the second Wednesday in a row. Meanwhile, (more)

'Dogs In The City': Her Dog Attacks Others, But She Doesn't Care

'Dogs In The City': Her Dog Attacks Others, But She Doesn't Care
CBS is hoping that dog lovers will want to tune in to see "Dogs in the City" (Wed., 8 p.m. Et on CBS). The new series follows Justin Silver, who is a dog trainer and behavioralist. He's also a stand-up comic, which means he has the dog know-how to make this show about dogs in New York informative and interesting, but he's also clever and engaging enough to be fun to watch every week.

The show is a clear homage to New York City and the pets who live there, according to The New York Daily News, but it's also about Silver showing how to manage those pesky canines in certain situations.

Most owners are on board and concerned about their pets' misbehavior, which made one of his cases in this premiere stand out. Elli's dog Charlotte has a tendency to try and attack her clients -- she runs a modelling agency.

'Dogs in the City' series premiere: Is Justin Silver more Keanu Reeves or Cesar Millan?

'Dogs in the City' series premiere: Is Justin Silver more Keanu Reeves or Cesar Millan?
He is also the Nestor Carbonell of “natural eye shadow.”

I tuned in to CBS’ premiere of Dogs in the City — not because I have a great affection for dogs, but because 1) it’s a new series so why not; 2) I assumed it might be about four single and lllllllovin’ it! dogs gabbing about sex over brunch all the time; 3) I wondered if someone named “Justin Silver” would exhibit similar qualities to David Silver.

Turns out this is not the summer trainwreck I was hoping for — but don’t worry, The Choice is just around the corner! We can drag

Unleashing 'Dogs in the City'

Unleashing 'Dogs in the City'
Starting May 30, CBS is unleashing New York City dog guru Justin Silver on the world with their new reality series, Dogs in the City.

He aims to resolve issues between canines and their owners – no matter whose behavior is at fault. Although to hear him tell it, ninety percent of the time, all puppy problems can be traced back to their owners!

ETOnline: How do you describe Dogs in the City?

Justin Silver: It's a weekly show that follows me on my obsession with NYC's crazy dog owners and their dogs – I go about solving a lot of the problems by looking at the behaviors of the owners, and working backwards. New York dog owners are a breed onto themselves and being a dog trainer in NYC is a hybrid between learning how to communicate with dogs and learning how to communicate with their owners, who tend to have very strong personalities.

What To Watch On TV This Week

What To Watch On TV This Week
Even though the 2011-2012 TV season is basically over, the networks still have plenty of summer fare lined up to entertain you all the way until September.

This week, we'll say farewell to a number of notable shows, with finales for big-budget cable dramas "Game of Thrones" and "Magic City," ABC's "Cougar Town" (which is moving to TBS in the fall) and the latest cycle of "America's Next Top Model." The long-running contest is going to look very different next season, since Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander were recently fired from the show.

As old shows depart, fresh ones debut, and this week also features a number of new and returning series. Wednesday welcomes the debut of CBS' "Dogs in the City," a reality series featuring professional dog guru Justin Silver, while Sunday sees the return of "Teen Wolf," following the MTV Movie Awards.

The Dog Days Of Summer TV

Los Angeles — Summer television used to mean reruns. This year it's gone to the dogs.

Several new shows star dogs and their owners in need of help. CBS has the lone network show in "Dogs in the City," starring comic, dog trainer and businessman Justin Silver. It's joined by documentaries on PBS and HBO and a series in the works for the Disney Channel, among others.

Each Wednesday at 8 p.m., beginning May 30, Silver will try to help hound and human tackle unsettling problems like joint custody after divorce or dealing with significant others who just moved in.

Is man or mutt usually to blame for problems? It's 50-50, he said, but "a dog's behavior is shaped by the people in its life."

Silver says he won't be the one solving problems, even though he jokes that he speaks dog. Instead he will provide techniques and experiences so owners can fix their own problems.
