Anna-Marlene Wirtz, of Welsh & German origin, is an actress
working predominantly in Film, Theatre and Voice overs.
She trained at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and while training
Anna was rewarded for her talent and dedication with the prestigious
Lilian Baylis Award that was presented to her by Dame Judi Dench at the
Old Vic. After having professionally trained in London, she landed
great roles in several theatre productions, including 'Salome' at the
Roundhouse and 'Julius Caesar' in the Blue Elephant Theatre. In her
most recent production she played the renowned Lina Szczepanowska in
Shaw's Misalliance at the Tabard Theatre London.
Anna's passion for film ignited her career with short films such as 'On
Canvas', which was screened at the National Art Gallery London and its
web page and 'Fifth Column' alongside Joerg Stadler (Saving Private
Ryan). Since then Anna has continuously been working on numerous short
films.
She was cast as the main role in her first British Independent Feature
film 'Brick City'2011 (which has distribution in the USA), followed by
another role along side Darren Kent (Game of Thrones, Mirrors, Snow
White and the Huntsman) in 'Abusing Protocol' 2013, and 'The Ipanema File' 2014.
