Why Don’t Breathe is the Perfect Home Invasion Movie…

20 January 2017 4:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Author: Matt Rodgers

Home invasion movies have been around since the days when Kurt Russell and Ray Liotta headlined A-list fare (Unlawful Entry). David Fincher has even played around in the sub-genre with the visual trickery of Panic Room, and most recently we had You’re Next, which presented itself as homage but descended into Scooby Doo cliché.

Arguably the biggest sleeper hit of 2016, with $150m worldwide from a budget of just under $10M, Fede The Evil Dead Alvarez’s Don’t Breathe is also the most effective domestic terror film since the original Straw Dogs. Why, you might ask? Step inside and we’ll show you……

The Kids are Alright

Time and time again, films fail to make you care for the fate of the characters. A recent point in case was Blair Witch. Released during the same theatrical window as Don’t Breathe, it failed on a commercial »

Jerrika Hinton Cast in HBO’s Alan Ball Series — Will She Leave ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?

6 January 2017 5:14 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Jerrika Hinton has been cast in HBO’s upcoming Alan Ball series, Variety has confirmed. So, what does Hinton’s new gig mean for her future on “Grey’s Anatomy?”

According to sources, at this point, Hinton has joined the HBO show in a guest capacity, and will remain a series regular on “Grey’s Anatomy” at least through the remainder of Season 13, which returns on Jan. 19. However, her status on the HBO project could evolve into a bigger role, depending on how “Grey’s Anatomy” progresses — the medical drama has not been renewed yet for Season 14, though it seems more-than-likely, as “Grey’s” is ABC’s top-rated drama.

ABC declined to comment.

Hinton, who plays Dr. Stephanie Edwards, joined “Grey’s” in Season 9 in a recurring role, and was upped to series regular in Season 10.

In the HBO drama, Hinton joins star Holly Hunter in the HBO series, which »
