‘Phillauri’ to release on 31st March 2017

Fox Star Studios and Anushka Sharma’s home production, Phillauri, will release on 31st March 2017. Shot extensively in the picturesque and colorful state of Punjab, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma, Mehreen Pirzada and Anushka Sharma. The shoot had begun on Baisakhi earlier this year in a start-to-finish schedule that wrapped up by June end.

Co-produced by Clean Slate Films (Anushka’s production banner with brother Karnesh Sharma) and Fox Star Studios, Phillauri is a fun-filled romantic Hindi film set in Phillaur, Punjab. Directed by debutant Anshai Lal & written by Anvita Dutt, the film has a unique premise- it took almost 100 years, a crazy Punjabi wedding and rank strangers to complete this love story.

Anushka Sharma’s romantic fun Phillauri has wrapped!

Fox Star Studios and Anushka Sharma’s home production, Phillauri, has wrapped up its shoot. Shot extensively in the picturesque and colorful state of Punjab, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma, Mehreen Pirzada and Anushka Sharma. The shoot had begun on Baisakhi earlier this year.

India’s Reliance Entertainment Unveils Plan C Joint Venture

Akshay Kumar-starring period drama, “Rustom,” directed by Tinu Suresh Desai is set to be the first movie produced by Plan C Studios, a joint venture between Reliance Entertainment and Shital Bhatia’s Friday Filmworks.

The 50:50 joint venture marks the further return of Reliance, the Indian conglomerate that has backed Steven Spielberg, into Indian film-making. The company, once poised to be India’s largest movie enterprise, sold off its cinemas, post-production businesses and its TV joint ventures.

It also scaled back its Indian movie activities, only to plunge back in again in a manner designed to better share risk. In March, last year it joined as a partner in Phantom Films, a production house backed by filmmakers Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena. That venture is managed by Phantom.

Reliance Entertainment and Neeraj Pandeys Plan C studio to produce Rustom

Neeraj Pandey who made a hattrick with Baby is all set for action packed period drama with Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom. While the former announced about the film a few months ago, now, we hear that he has partnered with Anil Ambani's Reliance Entertainment and has launched Plan C studio. To be precise, Plan C studio is more of a 50-50 joint venture of Reliance Entertainment and Friday Filmworks wherein the two, Anil and Neeraj have decided to join hands for films. According to Neeraj, talks were on for over three months but it was only recently that they decided to sign the Mou (Memorandum of Understanding).
