Michael Skeldon

Michael Skeldon earned a Master's Degree from California State
University, Northridge. As part of his graduate studies, he completed
several original screenplays as well as an adaption of Diana And Meir
Gillon's The Unsleep. Shortly after relocating back to his native Rhode
Island, he accepted a teaching position at Beacon Charter High School
for the Arts. There, he developed an innovative senior graduation
project based on his passion for film. Every member of the senior class
completes a film project, from writing through shooting and
post-production. He assumed the role of school principal i. 2011. The
following year, he completed a doctorate in Educational Leadership with
a dissertation entitled "Perceptions of Judges with Regard to the Rigor
of Senior Capstone Projects at a Selected Northern Rhode Island Charter
School."
