Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 5
Well, here we are, another week and yet another mission to take down Ginny by turning her own plans against her. This time, in “Honey,” it’s newly reunited Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) seeking to turn things to their advantage. But what starts out as a simple plan to steal back Al’s Swat van turns into a power struggle when Morgan (Lennie James) suddenly turns up to muddy everyone’s thinking.
In short order, tables are turned. Then turned again. Lovers are reunited, then separated. In the end, this episode feels like a retread of something we’ve seen a few too many times in 16 seasons of Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead. Intentionally or not, Dwight himself sums it up best when late in the episode he tells Morgan,...

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 2
Generally speaking, I tend to take a more philosophical approach to writing my reviews. Zombie shows in particular have a lot of meat on the bone in this regard, and offer a lot of food for thought. Puns aside, this week’s “Welcome to the Club,” directed by none other than Fear the Walking Dead’s own Lennie James, tackles the notion of identity-defining morality in an episode that’s filled with plenty of twists and turns. You can read more about James’s first time in the director’s chair in our interview with him here.
This may be James’s directorial debut, but he nonetheless delivers one of Fear’s strongest episodes. I certainly appreciated the old-school horror movie vibe he brought to this week’s morality play. And he gets strong performances from...

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Sunday’s more-eventual-than-usual Fear the Walking Dead.
It took a while. Ok, a long while. But just when I was thinking of starting to take a drink every time one of Fear the Walking Dead’s wandering do-gooders said, “We help people,” s— actually began happening. In the span of a single episode, Logan took over the oil field, had a total change of heart and — and this was the part we didn’t see coming — got his head blown off by a new Big Bad. And if our first impression is to be believed,...

Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 13
If I had to choose the single best scene of Fear the Walking Dead’s Season 5, it’s the tense moment leading up to whether or not a single bullet will be fired. In the face of impossible odds, when all hope is lost, how we choose to die is the only thing that matters. Like everyone else listening helplessly as this scenario unfolds, I dreaded the sound of that gunshot. That I could be so quickly invested in a random person’s survival speaks a lot to what works about Ashley Cardiff and Nick Bernadone’s script. While “Leave What You Don’t” is a bit uneven at times, director Daisy von Scherler Mayer...

Holly Curran (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) is set for a recurring role on the current season of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. In season five, the group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (Lennie James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.

Everything you need to know about Fear the Walking Dead season 5, including news, release date, trailers, cast, and much more!
The Walking Dead's little zombie brother is starting to walk on its own. Fear the Walking Dead season 5 is now underway on AMC.
It's been a tumultuous year for Fear the Walking Dead. This season saw the arrival of Morgan Jones (played by Lennie James) from The Walking Dead universe's flagship show. The show then made numerous other high profile additions to the cast, including Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, and Jenna Elfman.
To thin out the crowd after all the new arrivals, Fear the Walking Dead killed two main characters who had been around since day one: Madison (Kim Dickens) and Nick (Frank Dillane). The violent, unpredictable world of the zombie apocalypse in The Walking Dead has always meant that the shows...

On a sunny late August day in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, extras on Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino’s Amazon series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, are dressed in tweed and wool winter suits, overcoats and dresses, suitable for going holiday shopping in late ‘50s Midtown Manhattan.
It’s the next-to-last day of shooting on the series about a housewife who turns to standup comedy following an unexpected upheaval in her home life. The show has leased out an old bank and transformed it into the opulent cosmetics section of the B. Altman department store from that era. A downpour scuttled an outdoor scene from the night before, so there's a lot of scrambling to get the schedule back on track. But since the business of New York can't be disrupted, the extras mingle with the diners at the pizzeria next door, making for an odd mix of Manhattan's elegant past and Brooklyn's gentrified present.
This certainly isn't the...

Amazon has cancelled Z: The Beginning Of Everything, starring Christina Ricci, after the series had previously been greenlit for a season 2.
The initial renewal was a bit of surprise, given the lack of buzz around the first season of the Zelda Fitzgerald series, but it's even more of a surprise when considering that the Z writers' room had already started meeting for season 2 and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, a reported $7 million had already been spent on a second season.
As the THR article notes, the renewal came shortly after the publishing of a Vox article on the apparent "sexist loophole" in Amazon Studios straight-to-series practices, while the subsequent cancellation comes in the wake of Amazon's rumoured decision to scale back its spending on original series heading into...
