Liam Neeson in Negotiations to Headline Airline Thriller Non-Stop

5 April 2012 7:14 AM, PDT | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

There's just no stopping Liam Neeson. Although he will turn 60 this year, 2012 will prove to be one of the most prolific years of his career. Neeson kicked off the new year with the "man vs. wild" thriller The Grey in January, which went on to earn nearly triple its budget, and he is currently starring in Wrath of the Titans. He's got Battleship opening in May, a cameo role in The Dark Knight Rises in July and he has already wrapped shooting on Taken 2, due out in October. Now, Variety has reported that Neeson is in negotiations to headline a new thriller that takes place aboard an airliner titled Non-Stop.

Warner Bros. picked up the spec script for Non-Stop from the screenwriting duo of John Richardson and Chris Roach back in August and handed it off to Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment, which is financing and producing the movie. »

Liam Neeson to Star in Non-Stop

5 April 2012 6:24 AM, PDT | FilmJunk | See recent FilmJunk news »

Liam Neeson will be turning 60 this year, but the man is showing no signs of letting up on the flurry of action movies he has been starring in lately. Ever since Taken became a surprise hit back in 2008, Neeson has found himself fielding offers almost exclusively for action roles, and he seems intent on continuing to take them on for as long as he can. Joe Carnahan's The Grey was a pleasant surprise earlier this year, and Taken 2 is expected to hit theatres in October. Now he has reportedly signed to star in an airline thriller in the vein of Passenger 57 and Air Force One. According to Variety, Neeson will star in Non-Stop, a thriller about a veteran air marshal who "faces a threat while traveling on an international flight." The movie is being produced by Joel Silver through his Dark Castle Entertainment banner, and will be released by Warner Brothers. »

Liam Neeson (Batman Begins, Taken, The Grey) is in talks to star in the action thriller Non-Stop at Warner Bros. The contained and gritty film set on an airplane would reunite him with Joel Silver (Sherlock Holmes, V for Vendetta), whose Dark Castle company produced Unknown, which also starred Neeson.

Non-Stop tells the story of a stressed and worn-out air marshal who faces a threat while traveling on an international flight. Warner Bros. originally picked up the script by John Richardson and Chris Roach last August. Silver is producing the film along with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman, and Jeff Wadlow (Cry Wolf, Never Back Down) is attached to direct.

Liam Neeson can currently be seen in cinemas as Zeus in Wrath of the Titans alongside Sam Worthington and Rosamund Pike. He will next be starring in Battleship with Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgård, which is due out in the UK on April 11th, »

Liam Neeson In Talks for Airplane Thriller ‘Non-Stop’

4 April 2012 9:43 AM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Starting with his role as Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins, Liam Neeson has transformed from a strong actor with a formidable screen presence into the current definitive movie badass, following his turns in films like Seraphim Falls, Taken, Unknown, and The Grey (among others). That Neeson is also about two months’ shy of his 60th birthday just makes that accomplishment all the more impressive.

Hence, Neeson fans should be pleased to hear that the Irish thespian is circling yet another action project, titled Non-Stop: a film which (should he sign on) would feature the man as “a worn-out air marshal who faces a threat while traveling on an international flight.”

Non-Stop is based on a screenplay penned by (relative) newbie writers John Richardson and Chris Roach, with Jeff Wadlow (Cry_Wolf, Never Back Down) attached to direct. Admittedly, based on ...

Liam Neeson To Join Action Thriller Non-stop

4 April 2012 9:30 AM, PDT | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

Liam Neeson is in talks to star in a new action thriller called Non-Stop, in which he would play an air marshal. The movie was announced last year, and Never Back Down director Jeff Wadlow is set to develop the movie.

There are very few details about the movie, but Neeson's character is described as a "worn-out air marshal who faces a threat while traveling on an international flight." This is a perfect role for the actor to tackle. If he ends up taking it, he'd be awesome.

Dark Castle Entertainment is producing the film with Warner Bros. who originally picked up the spec from John Richardson and Chris Roach last year. Joel Silver is producing the film with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman.

Neeson recently starred this year in The Grey and Wrath of the Titans and will next be seen in Peter Berg's Battleship, which comes out on May 18th. »

Liam Neeson To Punch People, But In The Sky, In Dark Castle Thriller 'Non-Stop'

4 April 2012 7:44 AM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

When he’s not punching wolves with shards of glass taped to his hands in “The Grey,” rescuing his daughter with his “particular set of skills” in “Taken,” or locked in a brutal battle in “Wrath of the Titans,” we imagine that actor Liam Neeson is probably a nice guy. Though as you can see from the string of films we mentioned before, lately Hollywood likes to cast him in the sort of ass-kicking antihero roles that were usually reserved for Charles Bronson in the ‘70s. Though with January’s release of “The Grey” faring quite well both critically and financially, we can see why a Liam Neeson actioner is a sure bet. So that’s why there’s another one already in store, only this time, Neeson will have to brave some high altitudes.

Variety is reporting that Neeson will take to the skies with action stalwart Joel Silver's Dark Castle Entertainment, »

Liam ‘Non-Stop’ Neeson is Tired of These Melon Farming Terrorists on This Melon Farming Plane

4 April 2012 7:00 AM, PDT | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

After fighting kidnapping pimps involved in the sex trade, after fighting wolves, after fighting Nazis in black and white, Liam Neeson is in talks to fight terrorists on a plane. According to Variety, Warners wants him for Non-Stop, and it’s easy to see why. The story is focused on an Air Marshall (who Neeson would play) that gets hip to a terrorism plot on an international flight (one that apparently doesn’t have any transfers or scheduled refueling sessions). He then, most likely, kicks a bunch of ass and tells people to get off his plane. The script was written by John Richardson and Chris Roach – both of whom are newcomers to the writing game – and will be directed by Jeff Wadlow (Cry_Wolf). The poster is going to be great. Neeson looking stony with a cut or two on his face, a plane looming in the background, the tag “The Flight is Non-Stop. So »

Liam Neeson Still Badass, Books 'Non-Stop' Thriller

4 April 2012 5:28 AM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

So, we can all pretty much agree that Liam Neeson is the most badass man working in Hollywood, right? From playing the man with a very particular set of skills in "Taken" to someone who tapes glass and wreckage to his hands to fend off wolves in "The Grey," Neeson's sudden reign over the "middle-aged man who can handily kick your ass" roles remains intact today, with the announcement of his newest film.

The Hollywood Reporter informs us that Neeson will once again give terrorists a very bad day in "Non-Stop," an airline thriller without a current plot summary, only this loose description: "a contained, gritty action thriller centering on an air marshal (Neeson) flying on a domestic flight." With Liam literally on board, he could honestly nap for the two hour runtime and it would still be a more watchable action movie than most others these days.

Liam Neeson is Taking to the Skies for More 'Non-Stop' Ass-Kicking

3 April 2012 7:11 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Just last August we heard about a new mile high thriller from Dark Castle in the form of Non-Stop, a new project from a spec script written by John Richardson and Chris Roach with Never Back Down and Cry_Wolf director Jeff Wadlow attached to direct. At the time, the project was just beginning development, but now a big update comes from Variety who says that Taken and Unknown ass-kicker Liam Neeson has signed on to take the lead role in the film following a worn-out air marshal who faces a threat while traveling on an international flight. If only he'd fight a pack of ravenous wolves on the flight, we'd be set. Again, since this is the first screenplay sale for the writers, and Wadlow's work behind the camera has left something to be desired, I can't say that this sounds like the most promising project. Liam Neeson To Protect A Plane In Action Thriller Non-Stop

3 April 2012 7:11 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Earlier in the year Liam Neeson starred in The Grey and had some pretty bad luck with airplanes. In that particular story, while flying back home over the Alaskan tundra, his plane fails and crashes in the middle of nowhere and he finds himself leading his fellow survivors against an angry, territorial group of wolves. It looks like that lucky streak is set to continue with his newest project as well. Variety reports that Neeson is currently in talks to star in the new action film Non-Stop. The project is being made by Warner Bros. based on an original spec script by John Richardson and Chris Roach. Big wig Joel Silver is serving as a producer along with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman. Liam Neeson Up For Non-Stop

We know he can rescue wayward daughters from fiendish Euro-kidnappers. We know he can track down his true identitydespite amnesia. We know he can punch wolves. Maybe if it were being threatened by identity-stealing Euro-wolves… Anyhoo, he’s now in negotiations to take the lead for airborne thriller Non-Stop. The job would reunite him with Joel Silver, who produced Unknown with his Dark Castle company, which saw Neeson in his increasingly familiar action mode.Non-Stop, which the company picked up from writers Chris Roach and John Richardson last August with Jeff Wadlow attached to direct, would find Neeson as a tired, stressed air marshal whose otherwise peaceful flight is interrupted by nasty threat.
