Nathan Felix continues to push the orchestral sound-scapes of The Noise
Revival Orchestra into compositions for film and larger symphonic works
while keeping a steady pulse in the music industry as a composer, film
composer, performer, songwriter, booking agent, and manager. His
journey in 2012 included the birth of his first piece for full symphony
orchestra "Symphony #1/The Curse the Cross & the Lion," a 3rd release
by the Noise Revival Orchestra (Songs of Forgiveness), a co-starring
role in the documentary, All I know, and a successful tour of Europe
which included stops in Denmark, Iceland, UK, Sweden, & the Faroe
Islands. With invitations to Stateside and European festivals,
including SPOT Festival (Denmark), Interspot (Denmark), SXSW (Texas)
and having music featured on MTVU, and Public Service Announcements
(IDEA, Seton), & Indie films (All I Know 2011), Felix has turned his
attention to music composition for film. Felix began studying under LA
film composer Rick Garcia (Brokeback Mountain, Collateral, Rango),
Graham Reynolds (A Scanner Darkly), and will both debut his first
symphony with a recording by the SUNY Fredonia Orchestra in the fall of
2012, and his first score for a feature narrative, Teller & the Truth,
by Andrew Shapter.
