Christopher Nostrand is an award-winning American filmmaker from the Hudson Valley in New York State. He earned a Master of Fine Arts in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College in 2016.
Christopher owns and operates the full-service film and video production company Nostrand Productions LLC. Also, he teaches Lighting & Cinematography at Marist College's Film, TV, Games & Interactive Media Department.
Christopher has won 20 awards in digital filmmaking and video production. Awards include a CINE Golden Eagle Award, five Telly Awards, three Communicator Awards, Best Documentary, Best Documentary Runner-Up and Best Cinematography at CUNY Film Festival, Director's Choice at Black Maria Film and Video Festival, the Terry Roueche Audience Award at Underexposed Film Festival yc, Best Documentary at CUNY Asian American Film Festival, Best Historical Documentary at International Documentary Challenge, Best Documentary at Kingston Film Festival, a Research Symposium Award from CUNY School of Public Health, Best Alternative Film Runner-Up at Nearly Famous Film Festival and Best PSA at Sawyer Film Festival.
