A rising star on the indie scene

You may not know her name but Gemma Laurelle is one of the hardest working actors in Sydney.

A former lawyer who took up acting four years ago, this year she has worked in four indie features, two short films and three web series as well as doing voice overs for video games.

Her profile ought to rise next year when all these projects are released. .My career has exploded this year,. she tells If. .I am keen on the action and sci-fi genres and love to see these on film and TV/web series. I am looking to learn and take on more roles..

Gemma worked for the Dpp in Queensland before realising

Tiger Cop 3 (Maria Tran) Filming Starts Very Soon

A few months ago i posted a fight clip from Maria Tran and her incredible hard working team which was titled Tiger Cop 2. The short fight scene reminded me off the days when Moon Lee and Yukari Oshima were in fine fighting form with hard hitting action, so i had to do a feature on there next project Tiger Cop 3.

Time traveling back to the Hong Kong 80s/90s old school era, Tiger Cop III will be another embarkment action homage to the days of Moon Lee, Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock.

The 30 second clip Tiger Cop II was shot over 2 hours in late July as a fun tribute and as a response to Yellow Zone, an 80s Hong Kong style fan action short by the German boys; Andy Long, Can Ayin and Khoi Chau, has now sparked another clip.

Reintroducing Maria Tran (Fist of the Dragon) as well as

The team that brought us “Hit Girls”, are back with a new short movie titled “Gaffa”. The movie stars Maria Tran (who we have covered a fair few times in the past), who with her team, come up with some great action scenes and are starting to make a noise out there in the martial arts world.

Synopsis:

Two sweatshop workers at the Balloon factory battle it out for an apple, gaffa and the final showdown with the big boss.

From the start of the movie you have a good feel factor, with old school computer style graphics opening the credits (With some funky music). This follows a funny moment when Maria Trans character is working hard to find her work mate sat down eating and showing off. She looks very angry and spots an apple, but before she can get to it, the lad has it in his hands
