A new trailer for the Tom Cruise sci-fi Oblivion

This April, Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski teams up with Tom Cruise (Jack Reacher) for the sci-fi action adventure Oblivion, which has just receives a brand new trailer courtesy of Universal Pictures.

Set on a futuristic Earth that has evolved beyond all recognition due to decades of war against a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Oblivion sees Cruise as Jack Harper (he's liking the name Jack recently), a drone repairman who is forced to confront the past as he embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery in a battle to save mankind.

Joining Tom Cruise in the cast of Oblivion are Andrew Riseborough (W.E.), Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight Rises), Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones), Zoe Bell (Inglourious Basterds), James Rawlings (Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning) and Melissa Leo (The Fighter).

The first image from the forthcoming horror film Random starring Ashley Greene (Twilight) has been released. Courtesy of EW we get our first taste of a very different looking Greene, and it seems as if she is channelling her inner Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), as she is certainly going for the rough and rugged look, sporting a number of piercings...

Random is directed by Oliver Blackburn (Donkey Punch) with a script by Gary Fielder, Scott Rosenberg and Anthony Jaswinski. The film also stars Haley Bennett (The Haunting of Molly Hartley) James Rawlings (Battleship), Chris Coy (Hostel: Part III) and Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class). The horror centres on a college girl (Bennet) who is alone on campus over the Thanksgiving break and is targeted by a group of outcasts. New posters for Iron Man 3, Oblivion and Jurassic Park 3D

It may only be February, but 2013's blockbuster season will soon be upon us, and today has seen the arrival of new posters for two of this year's big budget offerings, as well as the 3D rerelease of an old favourite. First up is Iron Man 3, with Marvel Studios releasing a new character poster for the first Phase Two offering featuring Don Cheadle's James Rhodes in his War Machine / Iron Patriot armor:

Iron Man 3 is set for release on April 26th in the UK and May 3rd in North America, with a cast that includes the returning Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau alongside Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomers Guy Pearce (Prometheus), Ben Kingsley (Hugo), Rebecca Hall (The Town) and James Badge Dale (The Lone Ranger).

Ahead of its release this spring, Universal Pictures has debuted a new trailer for director Joseph Kosinski's (Tron: Legacy) Oblivion, which gives us an insight into the plot for the Tom Cruise-headlined sci-fi epic. Check it out after the official synopsis...

Universal Pictures has released a new photo from Joseph Kosinski’s (Tron:Legacy) upcoming sci-fi thriller Oblivion. The image features a dusty, leather clad Tom Cruise (Jack Reacher) making his way somewhere with great haste, and also gives us a look at his funky-looking futuristic vehicle:
