Miguel has a Masters degree in Philosophy from the National University
of Colombia and a MFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy.
After working a couple of years as a teacher, in 2011 he decided to
move to Los Angeles to devote his full time to filmmaking.
His work includes short films with themes such as God's nature
("Genoveva": 2011), what happens when all hope is lost ("It Happened in
February": 2012), and limits between what is good and what is bad
("Breaking Point": 2012). With "The Broken Legacy", his first feature
film, Miguel explores the human relationships based on friendship and
love with a philosophical background. In his work, the questions are
more important than the answer and the main question of his latest
effort is: would you rather be happy or would you sacrifice that to
achieve immortal fame?
