30 December 2013 3:31 PM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

During the week between Christmas and New Year's, news typically slows to a crawl, except when it comes to popular TV shows that are preparing to return from hiatus. Case in point: today's reveal of the synopsis of "The Originals" Episode 1.10, "The Casket Girls," airing January 14th.

"The Originals" Episode 1.10 - "The Casket Girls" (airs 1/14/14, 8-9pm)

Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) form an unlikely alliance as Klaus sets his plan in motion to get Davina back. Once it’s known that Davina is missing, Sophie (Daniella Pineda) gets in on the hunt to track her down.

Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is forced to make a tough decision after receiving an unexpected phone call, »

‘The Originals’ Recap: Klaus Gains Surprising New Allies In New Orleans

3 December 2013 8:03 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

New ruler, new rules! Things are never going to be the same in the Big Easy.

What’s the only thing more messed up than a dinner party hosted by The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Why, one hosted by Klaus (Joseph Morgan), of course! With his not-so-loyal subjects on either side of him, King Klaus waged war on New Orleans’ entire werewolf population on the Dec. 3 episode of The Originals – and as you can imagine, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) didn’t exactly raise her glass to that toast.

She certainly wasn’t pleased that Klaus’ crew intended to wipe out her entire pack, so Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) leapt into action to keep the wolves safe. What they weren’t expecting to discover, however, was the bloodline of Klaus’ “true father!” Honestly, sometimes I forget that Klaus is an actual bastard — not just a behavioral one.

'The Originals': Daniella Pineda on Sophie's current situation, her reaction to The Harvest reveal, and possibly reuniting with Davina

3 December 2013 6:00 AM, PST | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

The witch who started all the drama on "The Originals" by luring Klaus back to New Orleans under false pretenses is kind of ... well, screwed at the moment.

Sophie Devereaux (Daniella Pineda) lost the Originals siblings as her allies since they found out her true intention was to find little witch Davina and kill her, thus completing The Harvest ritual. Plus, she lost any protection she had once Davina severed the link between her and pregnant werewolf Hayley. So with no allies and no protection, what's Sophie's next move?

"What's kind of interesting, my character right now is on everybody's s*** list," Pineda told Zap2it on a recent set visit in Atlanta. "The head werewolf doesn't like her. The Originals don't' like her. Whatever she comes up with, it'd better be good. Ttherwise, she's somewhat useless in New Orleans right now. Because she has no leverage and no way to save her people. »

‘The Originals’ Recap: Klaus Turns The Tide In His War Against Marcel

26 November 2013 6:34 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

In a cruel twist of irony, Klaus finally regained the home he’s wanted for centuries — only to be more divided from his own family than ever before.

Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) issues with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) escalated to an all-out war on the Nov. 26 episode of The Originals, forcing Rebekah (Claire Holt) to finally choose a side. Unfortunately for Vampire Barbie, she apparently chose wrong, as her brother was able to decimate Marcel’s li’l army without even breaking a sweat. Long live the king!

And that’s when things got really messy: In the best monologue JoMo has delivered to date, Klaus chastised his siblings for turning against him. Honestly, as much as I tend to raise an eyebrow at most of Klaus’ decisions, I have to side with him on this one. He has a funny way of showing it, but I think he does love his baby. »

‘The Originals’ Recap: Tyler Shares Disturbing News About Hayley’s Baby

12 November 2013 6:55 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

Plus, with Klaus quickly losing allies, the battle for the Big Easy tips dramatically in Marcel’s favor.

After watching the Nov. 12 episode of The Originals, I will never look at Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) the same way again. Is he a good guy? A bad guy? Some sort of angsty, hybrid anti-hero? That’s all up for debate, but one thing isn’t: His revenge mission to New Orleans was a failure, and it turned everyone’s lives completely upside down. So… thanks for nothing, bro!

Let’s start with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin): It turns out Tyler’s the one who kidnapped her last week, not Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). And while I initially breathed a sigh of relief over that, my frown was quickly turned back around when Tyler took Hayley to an abandoned shed and told her she needed to get rid of her baby. ‘Vampire Diaries’ Cast Celebrates 100 Episodes In Atlanta — Red Carpet Pics

11 November 2013 9:02 AM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

‘Vampire Diaries’ stars past and present gathered Nov. 9 in Atlanta to celebrate 100 incredible episodes, and HollywoodLife.com has all the red carpet pics.

Can you believe The Vampire Diaries has cranked out 100 episodes? It seems like only yesterday that Elena (Nina Dobrev) and “psychic” Bonnie (Kat Graham) were admiring the “hot back” of new-guy Stefan (Paul Wesley) — you know, five years before we learned he wasn’t just a vampire, but the doppelganger of a centuries-old immortal witch. The cast and crew came together Nov. 9 for a 100th-episode celebration, which doubled as a reunion for several former fan-favorite characters.

Along with the show’s holy trinity of hotness — that’s Nina, Paul and Ian Somerhalder, in case there was any confusion — the rest of Mystic Falls’ finest turned out for the CW-star-studded event. Zach RoerigSteven R. McQueen and Michael Trevino were all in attendance, along with Kat GrahamCandice Accola »

‘Vampire Diaries’ Recap: A Shadow From The Past Poses A Triple Threat

7 November 2013 6:52 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

Plus, is Katherine dying?! This was easily the craziest episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ to date, but I’m confident we can make sense of it. Together.

If you found yourself scratching your head during much of The Vampire Diaries‘ Nov. 7 episode, don’t feel too bad. It just means that, unlike most of the show’s characters, you’re human! It was a super-confusing hour, full of doppelgangers and “anchors” and Snooki references — and by the end, a familiar face returned to Mystic Falls to throw a nasty wrench in the gang’s plan to resurrect Bonnie (Kat Graham).

Nina Dobrev: Triple Threat

Let’s get one thing out of the way first: Nina Dobrev is officially the busiest actress on television, Orphan Black‘s Tatiana Maslany aside. We discovered this week that the “anchor” Tessa (Janina Gavankar) has been yammering about for the past two weeks isn »

‘Vampire Diaries’: Olga Fonda Talks Nadia’s Future With Katherine

Plus, how is Nadia connected to that ‘Anchor’ we’ve heard so much about? Olga gives HollywoodLife.com the scoop!

You’ve got to love The Vampire Diaries. Just when you think you know everything about a character — in this case, Nina Dobrev‘s now-human Katherine — you find out (poof!) the daughter she thought she lost centuries ago is alive and well… and raising hell! Olga Fonda recently spoke with HollywoodLife.com about that mother of a twist, what we can expect from the mom-daughter duo, and what Nadia’s involvement is with the Travelers and the Anchor.

>> So, I’ll start with a really dumb question: Is your accent real?

‘The Originals’ Recap: Marcel Finally Gets The Upper Hand Against Klaus

5 November 2013 6:00 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

The battle for New Orleans thickened on this week’s ‘Originals,’ and all of the drama seemed to revolve around Hayley.

I know I say that every episode of The Originals is the craziest one ever, but seriously, the Nov. 5 episode was actually the craziest. Ever. Not only did the gang finally break the bond between Sophie (Daniella Pineda) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), but a major death turned the tide of the ongoing war in New Orleans — and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) may be getting the last laugh, after all!

In a nutshell, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) was able to coax Davina (Danielle Campbell) — without her knowing, of course — into breaking Sophie’s bond, and not a moment to soon! That trick Agnes injected Sophie with a blood pressure-raising syrum that nearly overcooked Hayley’s hybrid bun, but thankfully, both mom and baby will live to see another day. Mom also »

‘The Originals’: Tyler’s Arrival Will Answer The Show’s Biggest Mystery

5 November 2013 1:37 PM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

When news broke that ‘Vampire Diaries’ hunk Michael Trevino was leaving Mystic Falls for the slightly-less-green pastures of New Orleans, we were honestly relieved. Tyler’s time as Caroline’s beau was clearly coming to an end, and we all knew Tyler wouldn’t rest until Klaus was brought to justice for killing Tyler’s mother.

Luckily, the good news doesn’t stop there! HollywoodLife.com attended a screening of The Originals in Los Angeles on Nov. 4, and executive producer Julie Plec confirmed that Michael Trevino‘s big move — which will likely happen before the end of November — will answer many of the burning questions currently posed on The Originals. (And, of course, add a million more!)

Is Tyler Protecting Hayley?

One of the biggest questions plaguing the Original family is, of course, the identity of that damn werewolf who’s been following pregnant Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) around. Tyler seems like an obvious answer, »

‘Vampire Diaries’ Scoop: Tyler Crossing Over To ‘The Originals’

2 November 2013 7:00 AM, PDT | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

Michael Trevino confirms that Tyler will make good on his promise to take down Klaus.

A bridge is finally being built between The Vampire Diaries and The Originals — and it’s being built using Tyler Lock-wood. Michael Trevino has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that everyone’s favorite former hybrid will be the first Tvd character, besides Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and the Mikaelsons, to pay a visit to the Big Easy.

“Everything will be explained, and I think Tyler will make it good once he shows up to The Originals,” Michael says. “I think everybody will be happy with Tyler’s reasoning [for leaving Caroline] when they see what he’s been up to and what he has planned.”

But don’t expect Michael to share any more about his travel plans just yet! For now, all he’ll say is that Tyler’s trip will happen “sometime soon.”

'The Originals': Danielle Campbell on the Harvest Festival, chemistry with Elijah, and more

29 October 2013 6:22 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Man, New Orleans might be more screwed up than Mystic Falls. There's plenty of murder happening on both "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" (par for the course when it comes to vampire shows), but at least the townspeople in Mystic Falls try to stop human sacrifice instead of the ones in New Orleans, who seem to encourage it.

During "Sinners and Saints," the fifth episode of "The Originals," we finally learned how powerful teen witch Davina (Danielle Campbell) gained all of her power. She's not a demon child, she's actually just an innocent girl who escaped death. Davina and three of her young witch friends were honored to be chosen to participate in the Harvest Ritual, an undertaking that would bring more power to the coven and required a spell that put them to sleep for a bit.

Instead, she and her friends were actually systematically murdered. Sophie (Daniella Pineda »

‘The Originals’ Recap: Sophie & Davina’s Twisted History Is Revealed

29 October 2013 6:00 PM, PDT | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

After this week’s twisted hour, we’ll never look at a ‘harvest’ moon the same way.

When Danielle Campbell told HollywoodLife.com that viewers were “going to feel for Davina” after the Oct. 29 episode of The Originals, she wasn’t kidding! We’ve always known things were tense between the witches of the Big Easy, and after this week’s series of revelations, we finally know why.

‘The Harvest’: An ‘Originals’ Bedtime Story

Here’s what went down, in a nutshell: Shortly before The Originals began, Davina’s coven had planned to complete “The Harvest,” a ceremony designed to keep their ancient powers flowing — but it required a minor sacrifice. More specifically, “The Harvest” required three worthy young witches to be slain, then eventually revived during the “The Reaping.”

Of course, the witches didn’t count on the interference of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) — who was totally boning »
